Los Angeles to study trans fat
The City of Los Angeles, following NYC's lead has established a group to do a study on trans fat...Can a citywide ban be far behind? It isn't like they are going to find that it is suddenly healthy. :)
Also, in the news, Arkansas state legislators are considering a trans fat ban. This appears to be *the* food issue of 2007. Any bets on how many states will have trans fat free food service by the end of the year?
Major restaurant chains are scrambling to replace their trusty trans fats for frying and baking and detractors say it will be expensive because of shelf life issues. Still, wouldn't you rather eat fresher food and have a healthier heart?
